So have to mend a car that the dash lights and tail lights quit working on. 

 

Facts:

 

Head lights and brights work, brake lights work.

 

Tail lights only work in "p" position.

 

Dash Lights never work...they used to though.

 

 

I have swapped relays around and checked what grounds I found. I also swapped a headlight switch...no dice.

Sounds like a Missing Ground at the Tail Lights wiring harness.

I had this problem once after I installed an aftermarket radio. I shorted something when I did it, and it blew a fuse. The tail lights and dash lights are on the same fuse.

hmmm fuses looked good and from what i could tell the grounds were good. has trailer wiring too but it looks normal. maybe ill swap the tail light harnesses out.
