I have one seat in my 1979 wagon that needs new material. It is the red / white / black plaid material. Anyone know if this material is available anywhere? I can provide pics of needed...

Try Danny W . - on eBay as dannybreadman , on the USMB as drivesubies. He's sitting on a lot of new old stock and you might get lucky.

 

Otherwise you're going to hunt and find something close. Folks have done some fancy custon inserts too. Solid color with a Subaru logo ,etc...

 

A TRUE restoration of these veicles is almost always impossible. But keeping it going is key and to many of us just keeping it close as possible to original is the best you can do. Enjoy !

I used a Tartan kilt woolen fabric for an insert (seat on the left) it worked great, had a backer installed on it and really scotch guarded it a lot. Was as close as I could come to original. http://www.thescottishweaver.com
