February 28, 201511 yr i have an 88 dl wagon and the a/c blower fan doesn't work the resistors are bad and the wires going to the motor was bad so the p.o. bypassed them.i have fixed those and checked the fan itself and it works if i apply 12v to it directly,the two fuses are ok and i am not sure how to check the switch and am not sure where the relay is i downloaded the fsm but it doesn't have the a/c diagram,help its getting confusing the fan should work on high without the resistor pack but nothing happens and it is down to 40 degrees here now!
March 11, 201511 yr Author still nothing? i checked the shop manual and couldn't find a diagram on the a/c,heater fan.
March 11, 201511 yr If the wiring is that bad, I'd be suggesting getting another dashboard loom from the wrecker. I've got a wiring diagram at home, but I'm in your country at the moment, not mine
March 12, 201511 yr Just get a new switch. If the switch works on 4 but no other speeds, the resistors burned out.
March 15, 201511 yr Author it was the switch and the resisters,plus i had to fix the wiring a little. now it works on high and as soon as i get the resister pack the rest will work.
