Brat towing bumper

Featured Replies

Do you guys think making a tow bumper for my brat to be able to be towed behind my legacy would be doable? Just got a new cottage and want to be able to take the brat without having to take our giant trailer (Like 30 feet and 9 feet wide) and borrowing our 9 mpg truck (I'd think an 09 f150 would do better..)

I'd be taking out a rear halfshaft so my welded diff would work, but do you think this would be a good idea?

why not just drive the brat out?? and flat towing a fwd is not the best idea generally

Yes, you can build a tow bar, but you have to build brackets attached to the bumper mounts to attach it to. Don't attach it to the bumper directly. It's no designed for it. Towing a fwd manual is no issue at all. Been doing it with my Brat for 10 years.

Nowhere near street legal,  nor comfortable. Stripped interior, huge exhaust leak (hopefully will be fixed tonight), no bumpers (trying to fab some up.....) No signals work, and idk if I'd really trust her on a michigan highway where everyone is doing 85

Got pics?

I have used generic tow bars attached to the tow loops. Good luck
