2002 forester spark plug wires

Featured Replies

I have a brand new set of spark plug wires made by xact. And they do not thru the spark plug boot gasket to reach the spark plugs. Any input or ideas on wires that work? And anyone used these wires in the past and have them not fit ?

Question guys. I swapped the plug wires for some different ones and same issue. So I inspected the old wires I pulled off and discovered that the metal connector inside the boot that slips onto the plug has stuck to the head of the plug. It pulled the sleeve right off the connector piece itself. Any suggestions on what works to remove that inside metal conducter that connects to the plug? Any advice is helpfull never ran into this problem before.

I see it all the time. You have to get a pair of needle nose plyers in there to yank the metal wire end out.  You will need to remove the parts of the intake on the pass side and the windshield washer tank on the driver's side to get decent access .
