Something weird?

After semi fixing my AC this morning I went for a test drive and ran some errands. First thing I noticed is It idled just fine when cold, which is a first in a long time, and second ran really good.

The only things I have done recently was today replacing a cable ( obviously not it) and yesterday I had the motor up to 6k RPM in second getting on the freeway (automatic so about 55 or so MPH), I also took the car up to 85 (about 5.1k RPM) for about 2 minutes.

What did I do and how do I keep it running better?

Alex

PS, still hoping someone will know the answer to my earlier cable question.

Ditto on that. If your normally never get over say 3.5K then you can get a bunch of stuff built up that you will never touch at or under 3.5K, but if you take it over that, it speeds things up, and can suck all the crap outa your jets, intake, and off the valves, not to mention blow out the exhaust. Soobs have an uncanny knack for fixing themselves, you have just experienced this.

I'll take a look for your cable question.

thats the thing, my engine regularly gets up to 4500RPM, which equates to 75 MPH. So does taking it up past that by 1500 do that?
