How to Remove Headlight 98 Legacy

Featured Replies

It the two piece headlight and parking light The parking light comes out easily, the headlight looks like you have to remove the grill to get it out. I hope I missing something because the grill removal looks like I would end up with a broken grill.

Find a photo of a 98 headlight and it will show the location of the mounting tabs. Ebay will work for photos. I think the grill does need removed.

The grill has pop it type fasteners. If yyou remove the radiator supports the fan assembly will tilt away and you can squueeze the locks to release. There are 4 on the of the grill and two in the middle. These you hope they come out easily, but most probably  these tabs will break. There is a ten mm hidden there. Is a total of 4 10's that have to be removed.

O.

Press down in the center tab of the grill clips and pull out slighty to disengage them. Once the top 4 are free pull up on the grille to pop loose the two on the bottom. They always break, even if you're careful. They might already be broken.

One screw in the top of the corner lamp, then pull outward to disengage the tab that clips into some plastic in the back corner.

One bolt behind there as said above. Two on top and the one behind the grille, then the headlight slides out.
