does anyone know of a LOCKING center console that would fit (or maybe be jimmy-rigged to fit) an 84 subaru GL wagon?

you need a center console from an EA81 turbo model; it'll fit right in and you could j-rig the lock. not very big though.

You mean the high-top console? Those came in Turbo Brats, and cars with power windows. They didn't come in all EA81 turbo's tho. Only Brats, and those turbo's with power windows.

 

They don't lock either.

locking, meaning it locks,,, you would need a key to open it.

and I guess if there is a one in an old subaru like you are saying that will fit. I could put a lock on it if it has a top on it that latches or something. That would be great. Ill check those models out and see if I can't make something work!!
