Timing inner cover #2 seals(s) 13585AA19A

Featured Replies

I see on the Subaru parts website there is seal inside the DS cover that goes behind the cam sprocket. I have the oils seal 806732150 in the head and there was a small foam/tape gasket on the outer backside of the timing cover where it sits against the head. I don't have any other seals. The FSM doesn't reference it. Somebody else took the timing belt and covers off. There are no pictures, just drawings of this mystery part. Does anyone know about it or what it is?post-59324-0-37889800-1444070223_thumb.png

those can be swapped (along with the crank seal) during a timing belt service if old and certainly if leaking.

what car/engine?

I don't see anyplace on the inside of the back cover for another seal to go. I guess I'll run without it.

The foam seals go around the Cam sensor and the cam protrustion on the head are dust seals and not super important in the bigger scheme of things.
