May 30, 200421 yr Anyone looking a very big progressive 2 barrel carb. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=317&item=3183705197 or this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=317&item=3183705263
May 30, 200421 yr I don't know if those will work on a Subaru, but I do know that they are great carbs. A friend of mine ran one on an old Dodge for a long time without any problem. Joe
May 30, 200421 yr The problem is it's just as expensive as a weber, and no adaptor plate exists to mount it. The DGV Weber has a CFM of 330.... GD
May 30, 200421 yr Author I just put that up for grins. I had a 500 Holley (non progressive)on my 68 Mustang with a 289 c.i. and was more than enough carb for the stock engine. At 2 1/2 times the c.i. of a 1800 Subaru I do believe it would be way to much.
May 30, 200421 yr Yeah, if I wanted a large barrel carb I think I'd go with a DGEV 38. It's a two barrel 38/38 instead of a 32/36. If you had enough compression, and a good enough cam, I think it would work real well.
May 30, 200421 yr I dont think you'd ever get those single port heads to flow that much. The weber is more than adequate for a built ea81 or ea82.
