December 27, 201510 yr ive changed the switch in the door and the relay. should i get all new wires? i dont know what else to do. thinking i just might try to find some doors with manual windows. or maybe just a manual regulator and track for the inside? and help/suggestions are greatly appreciated.
December 27, 201510 yr Txakura found a very interesting, non-conventional cause for the problem, Also, he found the Solution: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/92467-power-window-repair/ Kind Regards.
January 11, 201610 yr Id check the wiring splice under the passenger carpet if you havent yet. door jamb wires are possible too, but harder to check
January 15, 201610 yr Can you be more specific as to the location of the wires on the passenger side. We also are trying to track down faulty window wiring Thanks
January 15, 201610 yr Have you cleaned the switches? The contacts get coated with crud after time. Main controller is under the carpet under front seat. Both the switches on the door and main switch need to work for window to operate Edited January 15, 201610 yr by wagonist
January 15, 201610 yr Btw, do the motors in the doors work? Unplug them and connect the battery directly to check
January 16, 201610 yr passenger front floorboards: all power and ground for windows splice off one (two actually, one power/one ground) 10 ga wire under the carpet. they are not sealed from the elements, just wrapped in tape... and soggy boots in the winter tend to soak it in salty water.
