Check Engine code

Featured Replies

Just recently came a fault code on a 2013 subaru impreza P2090

"B Camshaft Position Actuator Control Circuit Low Bank 1"

Can any one point me in the right direction.

Should be the exhaust camshaft actuator on the passenger side.

Check the connector on the actuator for corrosion or dirt. Check the wires for any knicks or cuts. Looks like a can sticking off the engine near the front. Should have a two wire plug on it.

well, that sounds legit - wonder if the actuators are interchangeable, see if the code follows after swapping them?

so swap the sensor?

That might be a good start , I don't know if the factory service manual might have some tests in it you could perform. It may, you can usually find FSMs on-line if you search around.

Any Diagram on where it is located at?

Ok so quick update: Took the Car to local Subaru dealer and had them do a full Diagnostics.

Turns out the Actuator on the camshaft was damaged. Got it replaced and we are back on the road.
