June 30, 20169 yr Last time I posted a question about my Justy in the "90s" section I got run out on a rail so I'm coming to the people I know and love. Just installed the motor in my '91 Justy (drove it for a couple years previously) and I keep blowing the 60amp fusable link when I hook the battery up. Got a short somewhere, any suggestions where to start? Edited June 30, 20169 yr by tundrabrat
June 30, 20169 yr As soon as you connect the battery? Or soon after running it? I don't know justys. Do you have full schematics?
June 30, 20169 yr Author As soon as you attach the battery. I assume I just hooked something incorrectly.
July 1, 20169 yr Don't know Justy's either. Myself, I would check the entire run of the engine wiring harness to see if anything got pinched between things that got bolted on. Then, I would unhook the main feed to the alt and check that wire for continuity to ground, also check the connection for it on the alt itself.
July 1, 20169 yr +1. Check for pinches. Also, remove the main alternator output to rule out failed rectifier.
