September 13, 20169 yr So my legacy cigarette lighter is not working could this wire cause the problem. What does this green wire go to?
September 13, 20169 yr Have you checked the fuse to see if okay. Don't know what unattached wire is for, but bet it is not for cig lighter. Check the power lead to the cig lighter for voltage with a meter or test light.
September 15, 20169 yr i see the problem now. unplug the green wire that is attached to it currently and then plug that loose green wire in where the other one was. i dont know why subaru did that but that green wire thats with the black wire does not go to anything it ends at the plug. the loose green wire is the actual power for the lighter.
November 9, 20178 yr 95 legacy lsi So my cig lighter was working until I plugged in a 12v interior heater fan I bought to keep warm because my heater core sprung a leak and I plumbed it out of the circuit. I looked under the dash and under the hood and all the fuses look good. What am I missing?
November 10, 20178 yr there's a protective fuse built on the back of the power port itself. fuses can look good but, best to actually test them with an ohmmeter. Edited November 10, 20178 yr by 1 Lucky Texan
