2016/2017 Forestersa, any feedback from owners?

I was originally considreing the Outback. I test drove and I liked the intereior but I really don't want a wagon. I'm now looking at the Forester because I want more of an SUV. I haven't driven it yet. Does anyone know if the Forester uses the same components and technology as the Outback for entertainment/infotainment?

My Impreza had bluetooth and navigation but they never worked properly.

I'm also wondering about seat comfort in the Forester. I'm not that tall and I tend to have an issue with headrests pushing my head forward uncomfortably. I know I have to drive the car, myself but until I can, I'd just like some information.

Get the Outack with the 3.6 H6. They are still having problems with oil consumption on the FB from what we hear at the parts counter.

Subaru CVT's are better now.....from what I've read.

Don't forget to read up on Foresters here, too: subaruforester.org

i seem to not be able to get used to the delay in engagement. I press the gas and it's not engaged yet and it slams into drive. Luckily I'm not hitting it hard when this happens as I'm just moving it around at work, but definitely not smooth. For what it's worth this is basically just when going from reverse to drive or similar situations. Not when the car is already in drive. Just have to pause and feel for the engagement and then accelerate.

The only car's transmission I dislike more is the pathetic lump in the smart car.

BUT, I may be alone in this assessment. Lol. Plenty of people like them just fine.
