my 85 parts book only shows 2, same as the 4 speed D/R.

 

based off my 85 parts book, I correctly identified the 4-Lo switch, as it works. however the other switches had the wiring broken off, and I have no backup lights at the moment.

 

anybody have a '89 FSM that they can scan the trans drawing, and label the switches?

No-scanner due to lack of memeory,etc.....I'll see what I can do.

Hi Mick This is Jerry, if the tranny has 4 switches then 1 is for backup lights 2 is for nutral start 3 is for 4 wheel high 4 is for 4 wheel low. I have a junk 5 speed tranny i will look at it tomorrow if the switches are there you can have them. Thanks Jerry

...like Jerry said.i have my '88 FSM here now.I also have a D/R 5spd and a S/R 5spd,the S/R being scrap-bad differential.

 

 

The reverse on the D/r is #1 located to the front on the driver's side.

If anyone else has the '88 FSM I'm looking at page 73 of the "Section 2 and 3" book.(figure 189)
