Idling problem

Featured Replies

Me and my buddy changed the front main seal and the oil pump to my ea71 and now the car will start up but wont stay running unless we feed it a lil starter fluid in  park or just keep pumping the gas. When idling in park i kick it into any gear and it wants to shut off immedietly. any suggestions?

What year is the ea71. You might find more help in the category for cars older than this category.

It was OK before your Buffy helped?

Did it run properly before the repairs ?

If you just leave it idle, will it stay running ?

What have you checked/changed so far to resolve the problem ?

+1 did it run perfectly before hand?

How long did it sit?

Vaccum leak?

Also - It’s not like anyone would slap their head in surprise if the carb ended up being an issue.
