And anything else I should look out? I did a compression test with a cheap gauge before I pulled the engine and I remember thinking the numbers were ok, I don't have them right on hand though. November 8, 20187 yr That is not a freeze plug. It has a hex key recess in it. It is the access to the wrist pin on the cylinder adjacent. It opens to the crank case. The only freeze plugs are in the head, under the rocker covers.
