May 27, 20205 yr How may degrees of timing do I need to dial in? Or do I put it at 0 and let the computer figure it out?
May 27, 20205 yr Author Are you talking about the service manual supplement? If so yes. After looking again I found it. So for anyone else here it is. BTDC 15* +/-3 @800 rpm
May 27, 20205 yr Aha ! The EA82T Series One is said to be much the same as EA81T. One difference is the number probably only due to design differences as the younger is set at 20° I have run it as high as 26° and ECU takes no control if spark at all as it is mechanical advance, plus vacuum advance/ boost retard vacuum cannister on the side. And there is also the knock control module

BTDC 15* +/-3 @800 rpm I will get bad knock when its set at 15*. So set it at 11*+/-3 @800 rpm. Runs good but getting less mpg..
