2001 Subaru Outback 2”lift

Featured Replies

Quick question:

I have a 2001 Outback that I want to lift.

do I need any body spacers to go with 2” strut spacers?

in rear you kinda need them but some seeling lift kits this high without them as well. i used just strut spacers. but it makes your rear strut on wierd angle , mine still was holding fine for couple years at least until i had car.

Thank you for your answers to my question. Where  is the best place to acquire body spacers?

they should just come with lift kit. if not you need there trailing arm spacers for rear. they look something like this

or other style but they should lift that trailing arm can be 3 separate ones or one from aluminum or from steel like in pic.

Thank you again for the info.

in my searches, I just didn’t see anything that was specifically for 2001 outback, seems like they were for Earlier models, later models or different models.

I’ll find something or create my own if need be. One more question:

What size tire would you recommend i ride on this 2 inch lift? I was thinking 225/70 R16. The original wheels are 17 inch and I was going to use them for now. My only concern was, that this tire would cause a little rubbing. Maybe that’s not the case.
