I have done the 95 2.2 transplant several times on the 96 -99 outbacks, but wanted to confirm that I can put a 99 phase II 2.2 into a 2003 legacy wagon with a 2.5 without cpu changes.

bolt the 03 intake and all the plumbing to the longblock and swap the ypipe.
