BobBrumby
Does a 3.7 rear diff come stock on a 1990 brumby/brat?
calebz
Being a D/R , it should be a 3.90 But then again, maybe they do things differently on your side of the world If you are asking so you can figure out what you have in there, just look at the tag on the diff
BobBrumby
yeh it has a 3.7 tag on the diff. And it has a 4 spd d/r gear box and wondering if they made this box in the 3.7 ratio? Cause maybe the Previous owner\s may have changed the diff but not other. I do believe they had an old ea81 wagon for a parts car, does this car come with 3.7 ratio? If it had a 3.9 box and 3.7 diff would it only "bind up" arround corners or also when driving straight in 4x4? I think thats most of it. Matty B
Bob, the 4 speed D/R is a normal 3.7 ratio for a Brumby and for MY wagons, the 3.9 ratio is quite rare in Oz I have found, If you have a different rear ratio to the gearbox ratio it will bind up when put in 4wd, corners or not! Cheers, matt
