September 28, 20205 yr Hey all so i just finished rebuilding my EA82 and i have a no fuel issue. Starts with starting fluid but then dies when i stop. I have pressure from the pump and it has new fuel injector. It ran before just fine it started this issue after i put the engine in. Maybe im missing a wire? Or a fuse/relay went bad. Can anyone tell me where the box is for that? Or give me ideas
September 28, 20205 yr New injectors? A MPFI has 4. First I would make sure everything is plugged in 100%, then check the fusible links by the battery. Check with a multimeter to the contacts, should be dead short. The only fuse box is under the steering wheel, by the pedals.
September 29, 20205 yr The fuel lines are swapped around. Check the three fuel hoses and verify where each goes by looking at pictures online. You’ve got two of them swapped. Or check/swap fuel pressure regulator. I don’t know the symptoms when those fail but... Could a line be clogged - bugs get into open hoses and build nests and pack them with mud.
September 29, 20205 yr Make sure the shielded wire is attached to coil negative.No injectors w/o that.
