July 14, 200421 yr I talked to Danbob99 about his turbowagon today, and he noticed that (when compared) his wagon has a non flapper MAF, and my XT has the flapper type.. My XT also seems to not rev up as fast, could this be why? and If so, can I swap out my MAF for the other style? or is that gonna throw the computer off? thanks for any input!
July 14, 200421 yr The connectors are different. I have not tried this....but i want to. I believe that the AFMs are more accurate than the MAF's.....
July 15, 200421 yr it wont work. the computer wouldnt know what to do with the different signals. i dont think the flapper maf, is the issue. do you guys have diferent exhausts? how bout timing? mileage?
July 15, 200421 yr Dan is unmuffled, you are not. So the back pressure thing, or lack there of helps out a lot.
July 15, 200421 yr Oh yeah, Dan also has the TI (Tex Industries) cold air intake. I'll make you one... call me.
July 15, 200421 yr Author hmm... so the type of flow meter at the intake shouldnt effect my accel much, but the exhaust should... hmm... need to straight pipe it! and TI cold air it? i really need to intercool it! anyone have an intercooler for sale?
