Ive been trying to find the oil leak on my 1997 Subaru Outback, standard with 300k miles on it.. I recently purchased it so don't know history.  It was fine then all of a sudden total gusher on e heated up. I have no idea where to even check. its drivers side up front and is dripping onto the radiator hose... Pouring once hot instead of dripping

If it’s up the front of the engine I’d say it’s a cam seal or two, or possibly the crank seal.

Same for all EJs so yes, it’s between the alt and PS pump.
