ok, What happens on an EA81 if the thermo vacuum valve (II) has broken vacuum lines? I know it controls something, but what I dont know. It seems to run fine without it, at ~25 mpg.

 

So any ideas?

 

 

Also, while driving home the light conditions were right for me to see a small could of something when I stomped on the accelerator at 70mph and the engine started detonating, it went away as soon as I let off the pedal.

The only thing that thermo valve II controls is the choke break diaphragm

which means?

It probably means, when the weather starts to get colder maybe your choke wont work properly
