Featured Replies

well having a few problems , 1- i keep on burning up alt's , i put on a 60 amp , which is the last spare i have , where are all the grounds located ?

do your turn signal indicators bounce the voltmeter when on?

I had an issue with the ACC feed to the fuse block, and it cause me to burn through 3 alts in 4 months.

I cut the main feed for the ACC group , and used a relay triggered from the normal ACC feed, and used a wire direct from the battery to the relay to then power the ACC group on the panel

it is a turbo full time 4wd a/t gl-10 wagon, with digital dash no volt gauge

The electrical schimatic for these things hurts my brain to look at. Just pop the hood and start finding them. There are TONS of them. Follow wires that are just bolted down to the body/frame/engine... those are the grounds :)

How old is that battery? Might have a wussy battery thats over working your alternator all the time. Puts a lot more stress on the alternator if its trying to charge a worn out battery AND run all yoru accessories.

I Havn't lost an alternator yet, but my turn signal indicators do cause my volt meter to bounce, Does that indicate a problem that I need to catch sooner rather than later??

i ran many extra grounds and added a chevy alternator for fun .. maybe something to think about?
