I have personally only see 5A's....never seen a 3As. My guess...is maybe its the amp rating?? I dont know for sure...ive seen 5As in everything from carbed 5MT's to GL-10 turbo 3ATs....

Interesting..I am from Canada and all the Carbed EA82's that I have seen have the 3A written on the coils and but turbo has 5A written on the side ...Thanks
