November 6, 200421 yr hey not a lot of help... but i figured i'd search. cause i remeber finding trails around that area on the net a long time ago. not gauranteing mud. but some places to check out. some are probably just scenic byways.... but oh well. http://www.trails.com/explore/activity.asp?Activity=&StateID=&AreaID={1AFF4A1F-277F-4A6E-AB4B-C61605BCB783} here's some nma info on offroad areas trails and parks. so it's another one to checkout. most of the trails aren't in your backyard. but an attempt to help ya a little, from prior searches. http://www.nmaoffroad.org/orvtrail.htm#anchor5181074
November 8, 200421 yr www.4x4trails.net please also see www.treadlightly.com I am not a tree hugger but please do not make your own trails. The government is closing places to go wheelin on a daily basis. We can't afford to lose anymore.
November 8, 200421 yr Author i totaly agee with you on not making your own trails. im kinda looking for some lite offroad trails...dirt roads and such.
November 11, 200421 yr I live around the area and suggest you checkout the 7-mile ORV park! It's not far out of town and offers alot of different terrain.
November 11, 200421 yr 7 Mile Is pretty cool. My girlfriends parents live in 9 mile, about 2 miles away. I went and wheeled there a couple times while staying with them, its fun!
November 11, 200421 yr 7 Mile Is pretty cool. My girlfriends parents live in 9 mile, about 2 miles away. sorry, it just sounds funny when you say it aloud 7+2=9
November 11, 200421 yr And guess what comes before 7 mile... 5 mile if you couldn't guess it. It wasn't a creative day when it came to naming the towns, if you can even call them that. The ORV park is pretty cool, although MUD is sometimes hard to find there.
November 12, 200421 yr PeterD... You need to PM Subafly. He's from Marysville, but I know he's going to EWU now. He doesn't have his beast of a wagon there though. I'm sure he'd love to meet more subaru nuts!
November 13, 200421 yr Author PeterD... You need to PM Subafly. He's from Marysville, but I know he's going to EWU now. He doesn't have his beast of a wagon there though. I'm sure he'd love to meet more subaru nuts! I was bord today so i went out this morning to get some coffee then to head out to find this 7mile ORV park. and sure enough i found it. here are a few picts i took, hopfully i can bring another friend out with his truck and we can take some video of my suby doing things that most people woulnt beleve. even with street tires. http://photobucket.com/albums/v61/PeterDoellefeld/ORV%20Park/ i got stuck on this hill about 3 times before i could get the right line. some guy on a 4 wheeler thought i was nuts and so did the people at the top of the hill when they saw a little tan suby crest the top.. man it made me feel like a little boy and his new sandbox
November 19, 200421 yr There is a hill in Lakewood, CO that is almost straight up and I would drive by it on a daily basis in my 88 and 79 jeep cherokee and never once did I think of taking it in either vehicle. One day I was out and about in the ROO and I saw this older yota AWD wagon going up the hill like it was an ant pile. Needless to say I showed the crowd at the hill what a real AWD vehicle could do. What made it better was that I had my wife and kids in tha car. She was PO's, my kids were scared....and I was thrilled.
