November 23, 200421 yr What was the last year of the dual range trannies (3.90 diff. gearing) sold in the US? Also, anybody ever taken a FWD '81 or so GL and put the 4WD running gear under it?....any major issues...I assume that gas tank has to be swapped...what else? (I may have found a rust free FWD near me.) THANKS!
November 23, 200421 yr the D/R...1990 maybe? i know ive never seen a Loyale with it in person...but ive heard of them.... as for the 81 4WD swap...can be done. I dotn know much about those tho.
November 23, 200421 yr 1989 for the FT4WD RX D/R 1988 was the last year for the normal D/R I don't think, Loyales didn't had them in the US. As for transfering, you may have to beat some metal and make it behave a bit:banghead: but it's been done before....
November 23, 200421 yr you could still get a D/R 5 speed in a 3.90 in a SPFI Wagon in '89. I have one in my Brat
