Brumby rear seats

Featured Replies

I was wondering about the subaru truck-like things (brumbys?) rear seats. They are clip in clip out removable right? I was wondering if anyone had a set and the brackets. I want quickly removable seats for my jeep.

Thanks

i think they only came in early gen brumby/brats and were an optional extra so there was not that many sold and you would lucky to find some.

No, not clip in. They are on a six-legged bracket that's welded (they could be bolted, I guess) to the bed. The seats, (which are rather short) and seatbelts are bolted onto the bracket/floor. They also have headrests on a shaft bolted to the outside rear cabin wall that adjust for height. You would need to fabricate a headrest into the mix somehow... whiplash sucks. There are a few for sale on the board here and eBay. Liability laws stopped the fun! Strangely enough, they are still legal in Massachusetts... home of litigation! We have the most lawyers in the country... New Jersey has the most toxic waste dumps... because New Jersey won! :)

you could bolt them into a brat.baccaruda had jerry do that for him.if you can bolt them into a brat you could pretty much bolt them into anything.if yo are international and find them for sale in the states it will be mighty high on shipping charges.

yes, we drilled our holes and jerry welded some nuts under the bed so it's removeable from above the car.

brian, for a second i thought you were saying that we'd bolted them into a barracuda.. that would get really hot sitting under all that glass :P
