what is the best oil motor for EA71?

i want to change the oil in the engine, what is the best one for best performance to subaru dl 1600cc carb? im looking for only 10w40:

 

castrol txt

liqui moly

agip

esso

prestone

 

i have all those companies in the store, now, they all the same:

SL\CF

 

now, what is the best one for my engine,if let say that my engine is in a perfect condition(118000km) year 1993 and doesnt burn any oil.

I use Mobil1 exclusively in all of my engines.

I've been "throuogh" all of them however so they are a known quantity.

 

Sometimes older engines will start to seep oil at the seals if you switch to synthetic.

i'd say personal preference, but basic Castrol seems to be used by most dealerships in the states.

Mobil1 exclusively here too. (Including the lawnmower)

 

Synthetics are the ONLY type of oil allowed by the FAA in aviation engines too. Reason:

 

....conventional oils fail and at 35000 feet, you can't just pull off the road! That speaks pretty loudly.
