January 24, 200521 yr It has come to my attention that the EBC greens that I use are becomming VERY VERY hard to get....thru anyone, and Ive been getting them thru Dale at boxer4racing.com...we talked at lenght about this this morning over the phone. HOWEVER...Carbotech Bobcat pads are WAY WAY better and the plates are exact fit if we order some from from Dale, as he is a distributor for Carbotech. The EBC's ive been getting are CLOSE...as the application is for the early Legacy's with the smaller brakes. EBC does NOT make Red stuff for them, and DO NOT make ANY pads for the Leone/Loyale stuff. Looking at $109 for a set of these pads. I've tried every pad under the sun...and the bobcats are certinly the BEST for street/autox/spirited street driving. The NAPA and other OEM style stuff is JUNK...unless you are just putzing around and dont care about it. So...lets see what kind of interest we have in these...
January 24, 200521 yr By set do you mean 2 pads or 4? A lot of the pads I've priced come with 4 to cover both left and right calipers. And does this cover just front or front and rear brakes?
January 24, 200521 yr depending on the answers to the questions spanky_pete just asked, I might be interested in a set for XT6 brakes:D
January 24, 200521 yr What about rear pads? Does Carbotech have an application specifically for the rear subaru calipers? Also, I've been looking at PBR metal master pads, has anyone had any experience using these pads in a performance application?
January 24, 200521 yr Author this would be a set of 4 pads for the FRONT. Carbotech will make rears as well if the demand is there...aka 10 sets.
January 24, 200521 yr will they keep making them or will it be everytime we need rear pads, we have to order 10 sets?
January 24, 200521 yr Author will they keep making them or will it be everytime we need rear pads, we have to order 10 sets? depends on how much demand there is. If ppl will actually BUY them...instead of getting the POS NAPA/Autozone BS....and the OE doesnt hold a candle to these pads either...then there will be an avalible stock for them. I've raced/street driven cars with and with out these pads...the bobcats are worth every penny.
January 25, 200521 yr hmm..... and theyre made to work with OE rotors? ie: they arent going to warp things because they get really hot?
January 25, 200521 yr i run the PBR metalmasters on the rally car...and they work just fine. i've come to the end of a 15 KM stage, after LFB'ing and all that, and sure...they stink a little, but didn't experience one bit of fade
