February 28, 200521 yr So JWX's RX was on the dyno this last sat. the two 84 hp runs were at stock boost...bottomless intake airbox, and bone stock everything else. The 100 hp runs were at 13 psi MBC. The ONLY difference between this time and the last time this car was on a dyno is the muffler. It had a glass pack on it then....for these runs it had a OE replacement muffler...an ACTUAL muffer. It put out 88 hp at the wheels on a mustang the last time...so I can see the 4hp loss. http://consumer.inkfrog.com/pix/WJM/jwxrxdyno.jpg
February 28, 200521 yr ya but I wouldn't do that for long with out an IC, y not? where is your sense of adventure? its only 3 psi more than i ran all the time with no ic
February 28, 200521 yr again.....that dyno curve is SOOO choppy....it just reinforces the fact that these things need proper engine management
March 1, 200521 yr again.....that dyno curve is SOOO choppy....it just reinforces the fact that these things need proper engine management those were my thoughts, so I decided my next big engine mod will be MS&EDIS. and I'm prolly going to tune it myself so I've got some reading to do.
March 20, 200521 yr Me was looking for dyno posts and saw this today. As far as the choppy lines go, get yourself a RRFPR and raise the pressure. If choppiness is due to lean air/fuel ratio, it'll be less choppy with higher fuel pressure. Also, get your fuel injectors cleaned. I need to get on the ball with this but I am busy tooling around like a fool with one of the XT6s.
