From what I have gathered, not experience, the ea82 and ea81 distys are slightly different, i think the teeth have to be ground off or the mounting studs need modification or something like that.

You can use the EA82 dizzy in an EA81 car, but you have to switch the drive gear, have the EA82 dist shaft drilled for a new hole (it in a different place), and do a little grinding and modifying to the housing, but it will work, a friend of mine just did this, and it is pretty cool, not a simple drop in though.
