need help with a sound

Featured Replies

sometimes when I am turning and braking I have this "whoop, whoop" sounds it doesn't do it all the time and I don't think it matters which way I am turning. anybody know what it might be? I'm think something along the line of the backing plate rubbing on the rotor or something

Are the rear brake on this one drum or disk?I'll sometimes get that on the '84 w/drums,because the shoe will walk a little bit.

what if the axle nut wasn't tight enough, would that cause the sound?

  • Author

I don't see anything, and the last time I had it in the air the wheel didn't move any

ok so its more of a scrap, scrap, scrap sound and it really only does it when you apply the brakes.
