alright, so i got a different block in my rx after replacing the first one with had piston ring problems. got it all in the car, cranked it over, ran fine, took it on the freeway, started shooting white smoke all over the place and now blows it all over the place when i put some gas to the engine. head gaskets possibly? anything else that it could be, its running quite high on the ol temp gauge now too.

You resealed the one head, right?

ya resealed the passenger side with an oem head gasket. go for a seal on the other side? maybe swap heads again?

You may also want to check the intake manifold gaskets along with the PCV valve for a problem.

The engine was a daily driver, ran great, just pulled one head. The head should be fine. Did you scrutinize the turbo? could be cracked. If you other engine was blowing steam, you may need to burn the water out of the exhaust system. The reference to the intake manifold is worth checking too.

new intake and exhaust oem gaskets as well. i'll try the pcv valve since i just got a new one.
