ok so i got the wife a SVX, i love it but its hers for now... so i need somthing, after drving the svx i want one two but will have to settle for somthing older

 

maybe an xt6

so if i found one that was in awsome shape not relly needing anything mechicaly what would i be looking at

Both of mine need minor mechanical repair.

$1000 for the first one, $750 for # 2.

 

If its in great shape all around, expect to pay close to, if not more than $2K. At $2K it better have low miles also.

i just baught an xt-6 three weeks ago when i picked it up it needed a clutch i paid about $1400 the hood is scratched and i also had to replace the thermostat but other than that the car is mint runs great and is fun to drive

I have 3 xt6's.

 

 

first one (88 FWD auto ) needed pretty major unibody repair to be truthful and the odometer had stopped working at 74,000 miles, but I bought the car on a whim and didn't really have time to do a proper inspection. I paid $500 for this car and it treated me well until it was demolished because of some woman running a stop sign

 

second one (89 AWD 5spd) bought this car as parts for $200 for a junkyard. it is completely mint and has I think 40k on the odometer. only problems are that it was hit in the front driver's fender, and it sat in the mud in the junkyard so long the underneath is a little rotten. also, no title.

 

third one (89 AWD 5spd) this car is in decent shape, has decently low miles, needs a little TLC and a tranny swap (already have the tranny from parts car) paid $500 from an xt6.net board member

can be found very cheap....but typically run 750-1,500 in average condition. i'd look for one with some maintenance records unless you want to mess with water pump, oil pump and timing belts yourself. go to http://www.xt6.net there are typically some for sale there and lots of information.
