yeh ea81s have the same bore and stoke as spfi pistons (ea82) as they are used in peformace ea81 builds. obviously the cams and rest of valve train is different (ohc,ohv). Yeh i think only the pistons and conrods are the same.

the EA82 SPFI intake will fit on an EA81 carbureted engine. it flows a little bit better and does require a few other small modifications. I don't have more info on that, sorry.
