June 8, 200520 yr To save a few clicks.. How about a shot of that ID plate I see stamped on the compressor housing?
June 8, 200520 yr WHat was it supposed to be from.. Thats definitely a Subaru turbo.. hard to tell eaxactly which one by the pic, but definitely an old school soob.
June 9, 200520 yr Can't tell without looking at the hot side wheel. You can definatly tell the difference between an 81 and 82 turbo when they are side by side, the hot side on the EA82's is bigger. But that is definatly one of the two, cold side is too small to be a Legacy turbo.
June 9, 200520 yr Author thanks, the spec isVF48706,serial is RHB5 19437 A, parts 14412 AA031 I thought all the rhb5 turbine wheels are the same... I bought this as a NEW turboford IHI and got this used one in the mail from an ebay auction.. If anyone knows of a place that I can get a fax/email from confirming it as a Subaru unit,I would greatly appreciate it as paypal wanted a note from a third person, and I have one from the ford dealer confirming the ford IHI as correct. the email for me is distall at lycos.com
