I just finished putting the new water pump in my GLF (Thanks McBrat you the man!!) and my friends 11 YO daughter has been wanting to learn how to work on cars..so I kidnapped her today and showed her how to change an EA81 water pump. She did wonderful!! We finished in about two hours (had some snags along the way)

No leaks no errors!! will put fan back in tomorrow and run her for about a half hour or so.

I think my friends daughter is a natural!

that's great... at this rate, she should be able to buy an old Soob with paper route money by 13, and have it in good shape by the time she gets her license!

thats awesome. the subaru world needs younger kids learning how to work on them. My 5 year old told me last week that he wants to help me work on my wagon next time I work on it.

 

I let him take the brake calipers off a 96 suzi rodeo the other day. (had to break everything loose, but he did alright after that)
