June 18, 200520 yr I've replaced the broken timing-belt, but i still have no spark. It's no power in the black round contact that sits before the coil, should it be power there?
June 18, 200520 yr Author i followed the instructions that I found here. But there seems to be no power from the coil.
June 19, 200520 yr With the key turned to 'run' you should see voltage on the plus and minus sides of the coil. '
June 19, 200520 yr run a wire from the battery to the + terminal on the coil and see if it runs. if so, the components are good but you are not getting power from somewhere between the fuse and the key or the key and the coil. if the jumper wire works you can connect it to a toggle switch thus allowing you to drive the car till you fix the real problem
June 19, 200520 yr did the timing belt break on you or did you ge the car with a bad belt? was the distributor removed at all during the repair. sippose the distributor pigtail is not connected?
