what do you say about those sparkplugs wires? + pic's

Featured Replies

Those are excellent wires. Alot of the new subie owners with 2.5 RS's use them and they are really nice wires.

$138? Not for me. I'll stick to the $20 OE set from SUBARU.

where the hell did you find em for that price?!? the cheapest ive seen was $175 for the impreza and $195 for the rx.

i must know, i finally gota job, and want to start burning holes in my pockets.

I wouldn't take a set of Nology wires if you tried to give them to me for free. They do well as a nice Import-scene gimick that seems to be very popular atm by people who have no idea about what helps or hurts combustion efficiency.

"Nology plug wires have capacitors that increase spark intensity, however, the duration of the spark is reduced significantly. A hot, long duration spark is more efficient for increasing combustion efficiency."

Unless you've got some kind of killer engine I cannot see spending huge quantities of money on plug wires anyway. There are a lot of better bang for your buck mods to do first. Good spark plug wires do make a noticable difference. Good spark plug wire is spelled "Magnecor".

I've never heard if Nology covers the capacitor 'popping' under warranty or not, I hope so for that price. As you can see I have an opinion on the subject, take it or leave it. :-p

frome what you say , you mean that those are great sparkplugs wires but you dont need them because it's too much , it more for sport performance engine...and it won't make any change in subaru loyale from the let say NGKsparkplugs wires ,is it right?

If anything, I'd say they would be detrimental, if indeed they cause a shorter spark duration. Otherwise, they would be no better than normal spark plug wires, other than being shielded. Shielding is really of no use or benefit, unless you have them rigged up on some kind of communications vehicle. They definitely are not worth that kind of money.

From what I say those spark plugs are pure snake oil whose only purpose is to help grease large bills out of your wallet. If the box the plug wires come in does not say NGK or Magnecor, I don't buy it.

i put a set of these on a saturn at my work. thay said you had to use resisterless spark plugs with them, the plugs came out about a week later and the wires came off the next week, they were causing all kinds of missfires and IC cam ref. codes.

i say stick to the good old NGS's and use the other $100.00 for something else cool.

just my thoughts... for what there worth...

where the hell did you find em for that price?!?
BUY IT NOW price: US $138.00
