This will be difficult to locate I'm sure.

 

I need a automatic shifter interlock switch, for a gen 1/FWD. The 1978 or 1979 will work. It is INSIDE the car, connected to the shifter mechanism. (Earlier models were ON the transmission.) Pretty easy to get to. I'll take the whole shifter thingy if someone has it or sees it in a yard sometime!!

Gosh I wish I could shrink down to the size of a mouse and get into the box with the '79 shifter I have.

Of course,if you came up here on a weekend we could tear through the place.

you know Gen2s & Gen3s may use the same interlock switch since the 3speed auto is basically the same for all three gens.

I will have to take a look at some of the newer ones and see. Thanks!
