August 4, 200520 yr Hey there, I am just a newbie to subarus (I run a 1987 subaru leone 1.8l EA82), and have been reading a lot about the 32/36 weber carb conversion. I was wondering if anyone here could give me the details of what is best and how i should go about it?? If anyone could I be grateful for the advice
August 4, 200520 yr Author I dont have the money to convert to a fuel injected system, so I'm wanting to stick to a carburetted system. So does anyone know much about these conversions??
August 4, 200520 yr Do a search for Cameron's information on the weber; he's in Australia and has probably the most expertise on webers for the earlier EA81 and EA82 engines. I wish I could remember the link but I can't think of it; if it comes to me I'll post it.

August 10, 200520 yr Author I thought weber conversion would be cheapest, as I am down in New Zealand, and am able to get weber carbs easily from about $50NZD. Thanks for all the links guys; Great Help!
August 10, 200520 yr Boy at that price it might be worthwhile to have you buy some and ship them to us. A new weber kit (32/36 DGAV) runs about $375US. Used ones sell for $50US and up depending on condition. Good luck with your installation. I just completed installing one on my son's Brat just 10 minutes ago.
