Cruise C. not working, AT/MT conversion

Featured Replies

Ok, i converted my 84 gl-10 to a 5-speed and now the dang cruise doesn't work, Might anyone know what has to be done to make it work with the manual tranny?

I messed around with a few wires but no luck, It's starting to really bother me.

you have to make the computer think that the car is in N or P to get it to start, but it has to be in D for the cruse to work, i rigged up a switch so it is in P to start and then i can switch it to D when i want to engage cruse, and it makes a good theft switch, if its in D a car jacker cant even hotwire it at the ign switch.

thats what i did, im sure there are other ways to to it. thats my $.02

I need to do the same thing as CHIM, but how exactly did you do this? What wires need to be tapped into?
