Has anybody here actually swapped these out for something better?

I've seen quite a few threads containing "should work" type advice but no actual testamonials.

I recall threads in the past where folks used Hella 500s with an aftermarket bracket (Kartboy?) or fashioned their own bracket..

I thought about putting Hella 500s where my fog lamps are.

 

I really need more light. The lens covers for my headlights are so foggy on the inside. I tried polishing them up...it didn't help.

 

I would love to bumper mount some Hella 500's and then put another set on my roof rack

Mattox, what did you use to polish your headlights? After 240,000 miles mine look like they've been sandblasted.
