August 31, 200520 yr Nitpick: That is the inlet to the waterpump. You *might* be able to epoxy something in, but any fitting you are likely to come up with to do this will reduce the diameter of the tube.
September 1, 200520 yr Author Thanks all. My application is in an airplane and I read a thread last week of someone having a leak at this connection. This has been a concern of mine for some time because a leak there could quickly drain my coolant. However, after reviewing my manuals again I see it is on the inlet side and I feel better about that. With the exception of the TD04 and intercooler I am trying to leave everything as stock as possible so I will continue with this connection as is and keep an eye out for any problems showing up on the board. September 1, 200520 yr Leaking there is usually due to the O ring failing or pipe rusting and failing. Find yourself an inlet pipe in good condition and a new O ring.
September 2, 200520 yr Leaking there is usually due to the O ring failing or pipe rusting and failing. Find yourself an inlet pipe in good condition and a new O ring. Also, make sure to lubricate the o-ring with antifreeze when you assemble it.
