help fixing lifter noise

Featured Replies

I have a '92 Loyale that has some lifter noise coming from the left side. How do you diagnose which lifter is the offending one? How do you fix it?

Thanks ahead of time.

What the heck is SEAFOAM? I thought he was just making a joke.

it is an oil/gas additive that really works to free up sticky lifters, and sludge in your engine.it even adds a little more power.it is not available in some states, but ask your local parts store if they have it.i may be able to locate you some.take care,

Jon

ATF worked for me.

1 litre in the oil and change when the tick goes away!

I never thought mine would go away but the ATF worked. I was worried about using it until my friend the heavy duty mechanic told me it would not harm anything.

Good luck
