Its Bothering Me. Thanks -Matt-
September 22, 200322 yr Matt, Help us out! What else does it do? Make Clicking noise on corners? Backing up? CV boots split? Where is the noise coming from? Those of us with Inquiring Minds want to know..... I'll go back to reading the National Inquirer now..... Glenn, 82 Hatch, transforming....:temper: 01 Forester, jealous......... :madder: My Camry has had broken CV boots for 2 1/2 years and I still have not fixed them. It dosen't make a sound......even on corners:cornfuzz:
September 22, 200322 yr Author Only Time it Makes any Sound is Going Straight When im Off the Gas, Nothing Out of the Ordinary When im on it, and it coming from around the Passinger Side Front Wheel, Sounds like a metal skidplate dragging on the ground, but there is nothin hanging down under the car. :edit: the sound doesent change if im going around a corner or going straight only if im on or off the gas. -Matt-
September 22, 200322 yr I hate to say it but that sounds more like a gear problem, dif. or R&P poss. I am by no means an expert. Any one got other thoughts in on this:eh:
September 22, 200322 yr This wouldn't be a "Squeeler?" would it? Check your brake pad depth????? You may just need pads????????? Look at your squeeler on your brake! My Trooper will make screeches/squeels when I steer to one side of the street and not going straight or breaking. Do some R&D on your brakes????? Good luck, Glenn, 88 Trooper...Squeeky
September 23, 200322 yr Author Nope Its Not the Brakes, Brakes are Good, so i guess my 5 Speed Swap might just come a little quicker than i Thought. -Matt-
September 23, 200322 yr Make sure the castle nut is tight on the front axles. They have been known to come loose (ask me why) and make a noise similar to a bad bearing or scraping brake parts. If it's loose, tighten it to 145 ft-lbs or more.
